Thea Hahn
CPA's Director of Market Analytics, Thea Hahn, joinedthe firm as an analyst in 2004. Ms. Hahn has been active within the real estate industry for twenty years and has substantial experience in portfolio, market, asset, and financial analysis. She is responsible for coordinating both the analytic team and market data sources. Ms. Hahn regularly assists the firm’s Managing Directors in highlighting and interpreting major trends and works closely with the analysts to develop presentations of quantitative analysis and graphics.
Prior to joining Corporate Portfolio Analytics Ms. Hahn gained experience as a licensed architect and as an Asset Management professional. As an asset manager with MMA Financial she was responsible for a portfolio of affordable housing. Before attending the MIT Center for Real Estate, Ms. Hahn practiced architecture with firms in Barcelona, Albuquerque, and Boston. Her work included commercial, educational, and development projects.
Ms. Hahn is active in NEWIRE (New England Women in Real Estate), where she focuses on outreach efforts at local universities introducing women to the commercial real estate industry and possible career paths.
Ms. Hahn holds a MS in Real Estate from MIT, as well as a BA and a BArch from Rice University. A version of her MIT thesis, “Opportunity Funds: Past Fund Performance as an Indicator of Subsequent Fund Performance,” was published in the Journal of Portfolio Management in 2004.
